Snowbirds 2015!

Grandfathers for Golf held its annual “Thank You” dinner for the Golden Village Palms Resort golfers who participated in the Thursday golf program benefiting G4G at Golden Era Golf Course.  Every week golfers from GVP Resort came out and played Golden Era Golf Course with their green fees going to help the G4G kids.

The dinner was a Mexican Fiesta theme.  The dinner was catered by” Ojo de Agua” of San Jacinto and there was even a Mariachi Band.  Dinner and dancing was a great success.  Next years theme is rumored to be an Italian Festa complete with a crooner and even some stand up comedy.

After the Snowbirds play each week at Golden Era, they enjoy a satisfying lunch on the patio and in the dining room.  Lunch is provided by G4G every other Thursday.  The number of Snowbirds participating in the Thursday Golf/Lunch has increased dramatically this year over years past.  It seems the combination of excellent course conditions (refurbished back lake as well as the new mowers providing well manicured fairways and rough and greens that are the best in 20 years) has everyone talking.

G4G holds golf and lunch special year round for all our local golfers.  That’s every Thursday morning from 7 to 9 am tee off times.  A $25 donation includes 18 holes of golf, an entry into the prize pool, a continental breakfast as well as a full lunch.  Either just show and you will be put into a group or bring your own foursome.  Reservations can be made by calling Tony at 909-754-4148 or sending and e-mail to grandfathersforgolf@yahoo.com
